The Sip Of Origin
Established in 1950, J. V. Gokal and Company Private Limited is one of India’s top tea export Company with global tea operations. The Company basically exports teas in bulk form to Kazakhstan, Russia, USA, Europe and many other countries across the world.
The Tale Of Tea Travel
With a team of tea tasters, all teas that are offered are tasted and marked keeping in mind the client’s choices in terms of leaf, size appearance and the liquors.
Once teas are bought, all sale contracts are either done through private treaty or through the auctions system, which is a transparent process.
The Blending Legend
The Company has a well-equipped and state-of-the-art blending factory in Falta, Kolkata that only a few exports houses can boast about.
The teas are stored in perfect conditions. Once the tea blend sheet is ready, the teas are blended with utter care and precision and matched to our varied customer requirements.
Safety and hygiene is of utmost significance for us.
The Procedure Of Precision
Upon completion of the blending process, quality parameters are again checked by the QC department. Each sample is sent to Government/Tea Board’s recognised laboratories for analysis.
On their report of satisfaction, the teas are then packed in paper sacks and covered with an outer lining before being shipped.
The Taste Of Profit
In terms volume, this department has been exporting about more than 50 Mkgs on an average over the years and there is further scope for absorbing more business. The average count of container movements every year is more than 200 containers every year.
The Company, other than in India, has its offices and factories in Sri Lanka & Kenya and has tea procurement facilities in China, Vietnam, Kenya, Indonesia etc. and joint ventures in Russia and Kazakhstan.
The Company boasts of many certifications like Halal, ISO, BRC, HACCP, Rain Forest Alliance & Fair Trade, to name a few.
